In a town full of Mexican restaurants and bars, this one is above average. We went to Chapultepec because we wanted to go to a restaurant we hadn't reviewed before. I chose Chapultepec. The food was great and we ordered lots of food. It was late in the evening and we were hungry. If you feel hungry, try Chapultepec Mexican Family Restaurant today! Everyone will like it, even your grandparents!

Chapultepec is the best Mexican restaurant in the mid-south area. The food is really good, the margaritas are awesome and the owners and waiters are so personable and attentive. My family has been going to Chapultepec for almost 20 years and there is a reason we do! Great people, great service, great food and awesome margaritas!

We've been here several times and have been overall happy. It's your typical mexican restaurant but we like that style food so we think it's good. We've only had a slight mix up with our order once but the server was still very nice. Service has never been slow and we've always had very nice servers. I do think the margaritas are a tad over priced yet it's never stopped us from ordering them. ?

Nice service, good attention to the client.

You have to try the "Shrimp Cocktail" on the appetizer menu. Not the typical presentation of a couple of shrimp surrounded by lettuce. This is served in a large goblet similar to ceviche, but larger and full of shrimp. You won't have room afterward for a main course. Delish.

We love the food here, the fajitas for two are so delicious, the chicken, beef and shrimp are all cooked perfectly. The salsa has more of a kick to it then other local Mexican restaurants. The chips are crunchy without being to greasy. We have tried a few other items on the menu and enjoyed them all. The only thing that is just okay is their guac, it just doesn't taste very fresh, almost pre-packaged.

This is a great new Mexican restaurant in Collierville. The Burrito Del Mar is my absolute favorite! It was loaded with shrimp steak and chicken, very tasty and cheesy. The servers are very nice and the service is fast! I think I had my food within 10 minutes? Would highly recommend.

A new spot for me to hang with the bestie. The fajita taco salad was great.

    Very nice....CLEAN

We had a really good experience. The waiter was quick with refills on drinks and chips. Food was good. I appreciate when they do not try to put us in the second room where large groups go ( there was only 3 of us ). Makes for a miserable meal due to all the loud conversations.

First great restaurant we have found in Collierville! The service is very kind and the food will make us regulars! Also ordered when I was home sick from work and it was delicious! If you are in the area, this is place for Mexican. It is located in the shopping center by Hobby Lobby.

The food is great, place is clean and employees are very nice. You get more food than you get at La Hacienda . Everyone needs to give it a try. It's located beside Hobby Lobby.

Great alternative to El Porton. Only downside is you can smell the cleaner they use on the tables during your whole time here. Would be nice if they stopped using it!

We have not been impressed with Collierville Mexican food, and we came in assuming it would not be good. The atmosphere is much better than the one picture posted that was obviously during construction... It's adorable inside, the food was great... the service was fantastic as well. I'll most definitely be back! Oh, the daily drink specials were great as well.

Pretty good. Very much a typical American Mexican restaurant. Good but not that authentic.

Good, average Mexican food. The food is good, but basically the same as most Mexican places. Prices average to slightly higher than average.

This place is great! I had the steak fajitas. The vegis tastes like caramel and added a great flavor to the tender, appropriately seasoned steak. The beans and rice were both superb as well and I heard the table next to me say the rice was very good. I consider myself a Mexican food aficionado and this is the best I have had in the area. Everyone in my party of 7 liked it.

They kept the chips coming and the salsa was good. I would consider it not too spicy but I like spicy and my wife who is a spice-wuss called it spicy. I ate a lot and could feel the heat but I didn't have to take a break. If salsa isn't your thing, try the bean dip. My friend had it and it was top notch!

They were a bit slow with my beer, but we were kind of a needy table so I'll let that slide. The staff was friendly and multiple people provided chip refills which I took as a good sign.

Chapultepec can be accessed from Poplar but its set back from the road so watch for the shopping center's sign. It's nestled in on the NW corner of Poplar and New Byhalia.

After dinner you can stop by Rita's for Frozen Custard after dinner which is in the same center, just around the corner.

We have never been disappointed when going to this place, every time we go they act like they were waiting just for us! The guacamole salad is the best anywhere and they don't mind putting a tad extra on it if you ask. Fajitas wonderful and the beef enchiladas are always right on point. We followed them here after they moved from Germantown and never regretted it! To sum up, the most consistently prepared dishes each and every time! Owner is also very hospitable. (Roberto)

Great Food. We had the Texas Fajitas and Chicken Chimichanga. The salsa was not too hot and the chips were really crispy. We will definitely go back. Staff was friendly and kept us serviced.

I really like the nachos here. I haven't really tried much else but I've liked what little I have tried.

    I didn't give it a 5 because I don't like the noisy environment.

Went to order a steak fajita take out. They gave an abundance of food and it was all very delicious. A big bag of chips and salsa was given and my family all contributed to emptying the bag with enough to spare even though the order was only for one. Definitely would come back!

The staff here is nothing but attentive -- from the moment we walked in the door. There was a family with children next to where the host was originally going to seat us, so he asked us if we would prefer to sit elsewhere. That was awesome.

The decor is a step up from many Mexican restaurants in the area. I sincerely enjoy the culturally appropriate music, and wish other cultural restaurants would follow suit.

The salsa was slightly spicy -- as salsa should be -- and definitely the best "free" salsa I've gotten at a restaurant in some time.

My husband and I got the #14 and #21 dinner combos (21 is pictured), and the first time I ate here I got a Speedy Gonzales from the lunch menu. All five stars. The small cheese dip was enough for us to share, and it was pretty decent.

Margaritas have been on point the last two times I've eaten here -- get them on the rocks! A monster size was enough for the two of us to share.

All in all, I think this is going to be our New Mexican place of choice. It may be more expensive, but you get what you pay for.

We've been frequenting this restaurant since the Germantown days.

Rocks margaritas are always on point.

Chicken Fajita taco salad is my favorite on the menu.

Wife and I usually share one of the fajitas options.

Cheese dip and salsa are always great. Better get the large cheese dip because you'll want more.

    Eat there once a week.

Thanks for what you do Chapultepec!!
